Boris at 6 Degrees Farenheit

Yep, it's really cold out there! We go for a walk just about every morning. Today we each wore 3 pairs of pants, 3 or 4 shirts, a down vest, coats, multiple hats, and insulated mittens. And, yeah, we looked like we each gained about 50 pounds, but so what?
We realize that it gets much, much colder in other parts of the country (as well as the rest of the world) and we have the deepest respect for people who deal with it! There's a great saying, "We'll weather the weather, whatever the weather, whether we like it or not." Whatever, it's a gorgeous day out there!

Reminds me of when I use to live in the mountains. When it'd snow I'd go outside in multiple shirts, pants, sweaters, socks and a coat with boots. Being the outdoorsy kid I was, I couldn't resist a day without being in the woods or playing by the creek. It was fun!

And now, we're stuck down south where the lowest it's been was about 4 years ago, 18 degreesF. It'll be in that arena tonight x_x

Keep warm! :)

I drive a delivery truck for a living. Today in Michigan it was 20 degrees below. It hurt just to breathe. I was afraid my eyes would freeze.

6 degrees *insert whistle noise here

I'm glad I can say it doesn't get that cold in Seattle.

I'm surprised that the tip of Boris' nose isn't blue! You couldn't get me out there without about a dozen layers of polar fleece and thinsulate... and a St. Bernard with a keg of rum around his neck! Nope, you two are made of tougher stuff than this Floridian is. :-)

It's finally warming up a little here, so we're down to just two pairs of pants each. I (Julie) also once lived in Michigan up next to Lake Superior, so, in reality, I know that this cold snap is nothing to get too excited about. But it's fun to remember the olden days when it would stay below zero for a month straight.
It's especially fun to remember at a distance!
