Julie

These are some pictures of my Julie from her competitive bodybuilding days. Her devotion to exercise is obvious to anybody that is familiar with her. Her knowledge of fitness and nutrition is simply amazing. I probably would not be alive now if she had not designed the diet that literally reconstructed my liver when my doctor was going to put me on a list for a liver transplant several years ago! She is now working on a book that describes her approach to nutrition for bodybuilding, fitness, and simply healthy eating and living. This in addition to the wonderful person and artist that she is. What an incredibly lucky guy I am!!!

Wow, Julie looks downright formidable in some of those photos! Her body is certainly a beautiful work of art that she has sculpted with a combination of study, focus, dedication and hard work that few others manage to muster during their lifetimes. But as great as her external beauty is, her internal beauty shines even more brightly. The saying "to know her is to love her" was never more truthfully applied, and if those who do were asked to list her superlatives we would no doubt fill volumes! I consider myself extremely fortunate to count such a kind and generous soul as a friend. Julie is entirely genuine and without guile, she has a joie de vivre that is absolutely infectious. She's the kind of person who makes others want to be better human beings themselves. I have absolutely no doubt that her book will help many people to do just that by improving their health along with their state of mind (as the two are intimately connected). I'll certainly look forward to reading it myself. The suggestions and tips that she has already given me have helped immensely!

Yes, you are indeed an incredibly lucky guy, but those of us who have gotten to know you (if even just a little) know that she's an incredibly lucky woman as well! To find two people who complement one another so beautifully is a rare and wonderful thing indeed.

I remember when I had muscles like that...of course my head was sticking through a cardboard cutout at the time. Ahhh the memory. ;)

Outstanding Julie, truely incredible!

Thanks for saving our man Boris too. Never knew we almost lost you, Boris, my friend. Glad that didn't happen.

Can't wait for the book, Julie; there's a spare tyre hanging around here with my name on it...

Best wishes,

Patrick

Please post the book when its available. In between painting amazing foxes, maybe she could do a fitness blog. I think that would be widely read.

Thank you everybody for the great comments. Julie is quite excited about working on her book, and so am I! We'll make sure to have a notice here, in our blog, when it is ready. Still a while ahead though.

It's so helpful to get your all of your encouraging responses to the idea of a fitness book. It's usually a scary thing to step into new territory (like writing!), but starting a fitness blog would definitely help with that. Thanks for the suggestion!

You are both good for each other I think. I can remember seeing pictures of you Sir, when you were a younger man, and you looked as good as she did(does). It is funny to think that the pair of you are both lookers, and paint people whom you have been. It makes me smile. :)

She designed a diet that reconstructed your liver? Jeez, you should take her to Ireland or Scotland. She'd be worshiped as a goddess! (I can say that since I have a wee bit o' the Celtic blood in me veins and can tell you that the alcoholic stereotypes aren't dreadfully far off the mark) Anyway, kidding aside, I always thought you two looked great together from the various pictures I've seen and articles I've read. I'm glad I found your blog. Julie still looks great, by the way.
