Video Trailer
If you liked David Palumbo's painting video we posted in January, you'll love this 4 minute trailer for his upcoming full-length instructional DVD (available in May)! Judging by this trailer, with awesome music by Anthony Palumbo, it's clear that the DVD is going to be extremely informative. In the actual DVD, the painting is shown in real time with commentary.
But, for now, the trailer is just lots of fun. Watch it for yourself and see what we mean!

Great news! I love Quickie. There are more and more DVD's like this nowadays. A great opportunity for young (and not so young!) artists who want to learn how professional artists work. I wish such courses had existed 15 years ago!
Boris and Julie, have you ever considered doing a DVD like this? I'd order scores of them :)
Glad you like the trailer as well as Quickie, Arnaud! We can't wait to see the finished DVD.
As for doing our own DVD, we've got some ideas rolling around in the old rock tumbler and plans are formulating. So, yes, we will have one eventually!
More great news! Is it Christmas or what???
Your how-to books are very good, but of course, nothing replaces seeing someone actually paint. Another good way to learn is by seeing an original, and I'm lucky enough to own your goblin painting (the one that used to be in the "Small works" section of your site). I bought a piece of illustration board (it's hard to find in France), but I find it hard to paint on so smooth a surface, even with two coats of gesso -- I usually paint on canvas. So, yeah, I'd like to see you paint. It's always been a dream of mine, anyway :)
WOW!
Zabrakło mi słów.

Thank you Stephany!
Dziękuję, Patrycja!
absolutely brilliant I wish I could afford the DVD when it comes out.. as it is like a lot of artists all my spare money goes to equiptment.. and the fact that you are thinking of doing your own DVD guys is making me want to save up some money some how.. I look forward to seeing some of your stuff on a video sometime...
When will this DVD be out? I'm very interested in something like this.
I seriously think that you nailed the subject. Your commentary is timely as we start a group of volunteers and we could use some of your ideas to build ours. You did a great job and all of us are pleased to arrived at your blog. Tim @ asr hip recall
