In putting together material for our newest book, The Ultimate Illustrations: The Drawings of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell (published by Anova Books and Harper Collins, text by Anthony Palumbo, scheduled for release in the Spring of 2009), we needed to fill a spot with a new drawing, so we figured that the people who follow our blog should be the first to see it!
There is something fun and exciting about having a mission where you don't have time to think about it too much, you just have to get down to work and do it. Save all that procrastination energy for a later date. I guess it's like double procrastination and it cancels itself out! Never thought of that before.

Wow, looking pretty bad ass. I'm sure that book will be incredible :)
And yes, procrastination needs to take a place in the backseat where it belongs and not so much in the driver's seat, although I've noticed that amongst lots of artists, procrastination is like a plague that is always peeking over your shoulder, wanting to get a few words in :x
I'm looking forward to your book :)
Great work, Cant wait to see the book.
Best Jason
Thanks for rewarding the bloggers, we appreciate your time and talents.
The book is on the top of my wish list.
I hope you have new art in your book. Quite honestly, I am annoyed at always buying your books and getting a lot of the same art in each.
And I really wish Boris would do more monsters, or what I call 'critters', rather than those babes which get really irritating after a while. I love the monsters and the babes seem to just drag the picture down. Boris has extreme talent with painting these critters, wish he'd use it more.
Like, that picture of the cricket, or something like a cricket, bug ship with the robotic man on top in the 'thinker' pose. That is an awesome painting that is really really cool but completely ruined by the 'babe' who seems really unnecessary and almost sliding off the ship.
wow the bike looks awesome, so grim and straight from hell!
I've never wanted a motorcycle more in my life!!!
Your drawings and paintings are superb! I'm a huge fan.
Keep up the fantastic work.
